Mabel and Not3s are bringing the 90s R&B duet back in full-force.
After collaborating on Not3s’s summery hit, ‘My Lover’, the two UK talents have joined forces on Mabel’s new single, ‘Fine Line’ – the latest in a string of excellent releases from the part-Sweden, part-London raised singer-songwriter.
The daughter of singer Neneh Cherry and Massive Attack producer Cameron McVey, Mabel has steadily been cementing her brand of slick, no-nonsense pop music that ranges from the sassy ‘Bedroom’ to dancehall inspired ‘Finders Keepers’.
Her impressively crafted songs mainly focus on boy trouble, fusing classic R&B influences with London’s happening urban music scene.
Not3s, meanwhile, has gone from the wonderfully titled ‘Addison Lee’ to featuring on national radio playlists and the BBC Sound of 2018.
On ‘Fine Line’, the pair recreate their winning formula with snappy production and perhaps one of Mabel’s biggest choruses yet. So addictive that we’d like Mabel and Not3s to do a whole album of this, please.
This is incredible! I became obsessed with her after Finders Keepers and this is just as good! xx
